Safety & care

Ride with confidence.

Every experience is planned around the rider, the horse, the conditions, and a calm, supported pace.

Our approach

Prepared before the first hoof leaves the yard.

We check equipment, assess experience, select a suitable horse, and adapt each session to the weather and trail conditions.

01

Rider assessment

We ask about age, riding history, confidence, and any support needs before matching horse and route.

02

Equipment checks

Tack and riding equipment are checked and adjusted before every session.

03

Guided sessions

Local staff lead every trail ride and choose a pace suited to the group.

04

Horse welfare

Workload, temperament, footing, and weather are considered so each horse can work comfortably.

Before you arrive

A little preparation makes a better ride.

  • Wear long trousers and secure, closed-toe shoes with a small heel where possible.
  • Tell us the ages of children and the experience level of every rider.
  • Share any mobility, health, or confidence considerations that could affect the session.
  • Arrive early for introductions, equipment fitting, and a clear safety briefing.
  • Follow your guide’s instructions and avoid sudden movements around horses.
